What does the lock do?

The lock in the page toolbar ("Keep this design when the book is drawn again") keeps the design exactly as it is when you click "New designs" or change a setting that draws the book again. While a page is locked, its kind, shape, round arrow, Edit, Color it in and Draw are greyed out. Click the lock again ("Unlock") to change it.
