How do letter mazes work?

Choose "Letters (an alphabet or a name)" as the "Kind of maze". Every maze is drawn inside one letter, in order: the whole alphabet from A to Z, or a name. Every letter is one joined stroke, so one maze runs through it. Letter mazes print in the order of the letters, not sorted by difficulty, so the book spells them out.
