In "The mazes" card, "Kind of maze":

  • Square: the classic.
  • Round: rings around a centre; the way in is on the edge, the goal in the middle.
  • Hexagonal: a honeycomb, six ways out of every cell.
  • Triangular: zigzag corridors that never run straight for long.
  • Organic (irregular cells): cells of different shapes, different in every maze.
  • Octagons and squares: big octagons with small squares between them.
  • Pentagons (Cairo tiling): every cell a five-sided stone.
  • Weave (bridges and tunnels): paths cross over and under each other.
  • Shaped (silhouettes): every maze inside a picture.
  • Letters (an alphabet or a name): every maze inside a letter.
  • Hidden picture (the way draws it): color the way through and a picture appears.
  • Mixed (a different grid each page).
