What does "Verified" mean?

Every puzzle is checked by an independent verifier after it is generated: every listed word appears exactly once and exactly where the answer key shows it, every cell is filled, no unsuitable word appears anywhere in any direction, secret words and mystery stars are where they should be, the hidden message reads from the leftover letters and the hidden picture is exact. A puzzle that fails is never printed.
