What does locking a maze do?

Click the lock on a maze's line ("Keep this maze when the book is made again"). A locked maze stays as it is when you press "New mazes" or change a setting that makes the mazes again. Its round arrow is greyed out while it is locked. Click the lock again to unlock it.
