The rule for the book's kind of maze (find the way from the start to the finish without crossing a wall; for round mazes, from the outside to the middle), how the start and finish are shown (arrows, pictures, or a dot and a target), the rules for weave mazes, loops and hidden pictures when the book has them, that every maze has exactly one way through with its solution at the back, what the stars mean, a small maze of the same kind with its solution beside it, and a tip: "Stuck?
