What are the hints?

With "Hints" on, the book gets a Hints section before the solutions, with one nudge for every puzzle past Easy. The hint points to the key step of that puzzle, the first place it needs a technique of its level, and names the technique. It does not give the answer away. Easy puzzles need no hint.
