The captions I typed under my images in Word show up left-aligned instead of centered. How do I get proper captions?

Update to v1.8.3 and re-import (or check new imports). If you used Word's "Insert Caption" feature (which creates a caption-styled paragraph under the image), BookyAI now recognizes those paragraphs during import and attaches them to their image as a true caption — displayed centered and italic under the image in PDF, EPUB and HTML, and as a centered caption paragraph in DOCX. For images you insert inside BookyAI, the caption you type in the insert-image dialog behaves the same way in every export.
