My novel's plot felt repetitive and aimless — chapters kept doing the same thing. What changed?
Update to v1.8.1 and regenerate (or create the book again). Fiction outlines are now built the way a novelist plans: a clear three-act shape, stakes that escalate act by act, a rule that every chapter must advance the plot or a character arc (no episodic repetition), and one narrative throughline. On top of that, your chosen genre adds its own conventions automatically — a mystery gets fair-play clues, plausible suspects and red herrings with a resolution that follows from planted clues; a romance gets the
relationship beats through to a satisfying ending; a thriller gets a ticking clock and reversals; fantasy and sci-fi keep their world rules constant. You don't need to configure anything — it's driven by the genre you picked.
