My collection is "inspired by real events". Will BookyAI make up facts about real people?

BookyAI •1 min read •10 views •Updated Sep 25, 2026

No. From version 1.9.20, when a collection's stories are marked "Inspired by real events", BookyAI is told to retell only events that were documented and widely reported, or to write composite stories with the people, places and dates changed. It must never attach invented specifics, such as the full name of a real private person, an exact date or a quote, to a real event, or present a made-up detail as a verified fact. The copyright page of the exported book says "Some names, places and details in these stories have been changed.", and the back cover description never claims that every detail is true. As with any book, read the stories before publishing and check any fact you intend to present as true.
