I centered my image captions manually in Word, but exports show them as plain left-aligned text. How do I get proper captions?

Update to version 1.8.5 or later and simply export again — no re-import needed. When you center a caption by hand in Word (an italic line under the picture rather than Word's Insert Caption feature), it used to arrive as ordinary text. BookyAI now recognizes a short italic line directly beneath a picture as that picture's caption and renders it properly: centered under the image in PDF, EPUB, HTML and Word exports. Books that were imported before this fix are healed automatically at export time. Captions created with Word's actual Insert Caption feature were already supported.
