Do images from my Word manuscript come into BookyAI when I import it?
Yes, since v1.8.2. When you import a .docx manuscript (Library → Import your manuscript), the pictures embedded in your Word document are imported automatically along with the text: each image is copied into the book and placed exactly where it was in the document. If an image has alt text in Word, that text becomes its caption in BookyAI — shown under the image in every export (PDF, EPUB, DOCX, HTML). Caption paragraphs you typed under images in Word arrive as regular text below the image either way. Two limits to know: images over 10 MB and uncommon formats (anything other than PNG/JPEG/GIF/WebP) are skipped, and the import summary tells you exactly how many were skipped so you can add those few by hand. After import you can still adjust any image's size and placement (small / wide / left / right / full page) from the chapter editor.
