Can I add references for the chapters I added later?

Yes. After chapters are added or regenerated, the References card in the workspace shows an Update references for new chapters button. It generates a bibliography only for chapters that don't have one yet; existing references are kept exactly as they are. You can review or correct all of them afterwards with Edit references.
